The One Faith, One Family, One Future in Christ campaign will help to equip and strengthen our parishes and schools to create a culture of evangelization for welcoming people with a joyful spirit. I invite you to learn more about the campaign and how your support will touch the lives of people throughout our Archdiocese.
Dispensation Ending on Corpus Christi, June 5-6
Over the past year, a lot of dioceses and archdioceses have dispensed their faithful from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass, due to the pandemic, but still required them to keep holy the Sabbath. As of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus, this dispensation will be lifted; it will cease to be in effect. What does that mean? It means that the faithful will be once more required to attend Mass on each and every weekend… and why wouldn’t we… it’s Mass! As in any time of the year, this does not apply to those who are sick or have a genuine underlying medical condition which would prevent them from doing so. Fr. Bruce
Archdiocesan Protocols Rescinded
As of today all diocesan safety protocols relating to COVID are rescinded. Pastors should be aware of guidelines in their particular county or municipality and develop parish guidelines as appropriate, given the demographics of their respective congregations as well as their own personal health situation. Likewise, there are no longer any diocesan guidelines for music ministry in the Archdiocese.
